🎉 It’s a WIN! Our Startup WatchBuilt Takes the Crown at EIT Jumpstarter Grand Final 2023! 🚀

Just over a year ago, WatchBuilt team was born at the Commercialization Reactor‘s 20th Ignition Event, with technology from the University of Maribor and Entrepreneurs from Latvia and Croatia just starting their journey together. Today – celebrating a remarkable milestone – 1st Place at the EIT Jumpstarter Grand Final 2023 in the EIT Digital Category!

And what a remarkable year!

🅰️ How it started for Talent (Aija Hermane-Sabule, Željan Alduk, Zoran Pučko):

1. Entering the Commercialization Reactor’s Programs of Talent Transformation, Deep-Tech Skill Training and Paradigm Shift for successful Deep-Tech Startup creation (learn more below)
2. Qualifying to enter the “Ignition Event”
3. Forming Team WatchBuilt during 20th “Ignition Event” – special event and environment for Scientists and Entrepreneurs to co-create Deep Tech startups
4. Forging into an investment-ready enterprise via “Founders’ Dive” program

🅱️ How it continued for the Team as a Startup:

• 💰 Acquiring 1st pre-seed capital in less than 3 months
• 📈 Defining a robust business model, setting the stage for future growth.

• 🌍 Participating in the Slovenian Deep Tech Demo Day 2023
• 🛠 Developing three concept proofs for pilot testing with clients
• 🔍 Showcasing their innovation at WMF – We Make Future, Podim Conference, and digitalBAU.
• 🏅 Winning the award at the ITTC conference!
• 🏆 Winning in the Infineon Technologies ToF Startup Challenge.
•  👑 Winning in the EIT Jumpstarter Grand Final 2023 in Athens

WatchBuilt is a deep tech startup set to revolutionise the construction industry with a digital solution that allows for efficient, fully automated, and continuous monitoring of construction progress in real-time, set to change the way construction projects are managed and executed.

This award at the EIT Jumpstarter Grand Final is a recognition of WatchBuilt technological innovation, team’s hard work, dedication, and vision. It is also another great example of effectiveness and fruitfulness of Commercialization Reactor’s methodology, which was recently recognised by EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative, awarding the Commercialization Reactor the Best Deep Tech Program in Europe.
