🏆 Sustainability Impact News: PurOceans Wins in “Climate Innovations” Category at Baltic Sustainability Awards! 🌍🌊
Bringing news that played an important role in the Baltic Startup Ecosystem at the end of the 2023, was the 1st place award to our portfolio startup PurOceans Technology at the Baltic Sustainability Awards, which was organised by Helve, and represents a united Baltic-level platform with a mission to celebrate the innovators, changemakers, and leaders in sustainability innovation.
Born in Commercialization Reactor – the international science commercialisation platform – PurOceans is led by entrepreneur Alona Stepanova, with a commitment to commercialise scientific technology at the very core of the product, which harnesses the power of air bubbles to efficiently remove oil spills and plastic debris from the seafloor. The innovative technology has been developed and is being continuously advanced by experts in biology and mechanical engineering who are a key part of the company’s team. This environmentally friendly solution represents a significant step forward in addressing marine pollution challenges and could revolutionise ocean cleanup efforts, playing a pivotal role in reducing marine pollution and facilitating the restoration of marine ecosystems.
