Space, being one of the fastest-growing industries globally, has opened its doors to diverse businesses from non-space sectors, offering new opportunities. In the Baltics, this trend is gaining momentum too, with an increasing number of support mechanisms for space-related ventures.
This growth is reflected in the most recent milestone for the Latvian space industry: Latvia has established the brand new European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC)! This initiative aims to further fuel the growth of space-related startups in the region.
Commercialization Reactor, together with trusted partners, is responsible for the centre’s operations and invites all deep tech experts, businesses and enthusiasts to explore this opportunity.
To help you define what the potential role of your business would be, we are launching the 30-day “Space Challenge”.
PROGRAMME DETAILS
Target Groups: Deep-tech startups, technological startups, researchers and space enthusiasts, with or without prior knowledge of the space economy.
Programme Structure:
- Two Seminars:
- Space economy: why is space economy is suddenly in such a boom, what are the segments of the global space economy, where demand is shaped and how to think of technology transfer into space.
- Space business support: what are the avenues for your space business development support, what ESA BIC Latvia is looking for and how space can be supported by national innovation support programmes.
- 30-day challenge: daily targeted tasks to discover your business niche within the space industry, with support of our team and a final pitch.
